Week 11 Post 1 Email Marketing
I would send a welcome newsletter within a week of them signing up and then I think a quarterly newsletter would suffice. The welcome letter would contain all of the sources they can keep in touch with me online like Facebook, Instagram, my blog, Website and more. I would also give a little background about myself, so they can get to know me as well as some samples of my work. I would also like to include a coupon for a certain percentage off (most likely 10%) of their first purchase with me, with the expiration of 90 days. The quarterly newsletter would contain ideas for photoshoots for the upcoming Holidays, possibly something from my blog, ideas for some graphic design work and some examples of my recent work. I would occasionally include another coupon with an expiration date of 90 days. The reason for an occasional coupon is that I don’t want customers to just assume they will get another one in the next newsletter and not use the one I just sent them. Sending them all the time takes away the importance, in my opinion.

I think you got the right ideas. Especially since photography is obviously a visual thing, people will love seeing your work and getting a coupon. I think it will boost your business sales for sure!
ReplyDeleteI think it is a very good idea to have two different newsletters depending on whether they are a new client or not. I never thought of that for my services but I think I should add it. Also, I think for your business a quarterly email is enough contact for people to remember you but not too obnoxious! Great post!
