Week 13 Post 2

There are many ways to advertise on Facebook. Some ideas are using Video ads, Lead ads, Offer ads, and Carousel ads. Another one is with a Lead generation ad unit which allows you to collect email addresses to build your business contacts. Dynamic product ads allow you to connect your product catalog to your Facebook. Abandoned cart ads, which try to focus on customers who still have items in their cart. There are also Thank you ads, New product ads for existing customers and New traffic generation ads.

After taking my budget into consideration, I think boosting my posts for a few dollars is the way to go for me. The posts I would boost are the ones offering a coupon or discount for services. The key is to get very specific with who will see your ad. You can specifically ask Facebook to show the ad to people who have visited your website, who is currently searching for photographers and it is also a way to keep the cost down. I have found that on Instagram I get a lot more likes and participation, but since Facebook purchased them, how much longer will this be the case I wonder. I do like the idea of using campaigns to save time, so I will be utilizing that feature. Like I mentioned before, budget is a big concern at this point in regards to advertising. I am excited to sit down and design some campaigns that will hopefully draw people to my website and my business.

I don’t think I will be using Twitter for much longer as I don’t have many followers and I barely get any likes at all and definitely no retweets. I feel much more comfortable with Facebook and Instagram.

  1. Hi Deanna, I can see how your business gets more attention on Instagram. I enjoy your posts and photos on Facebook, definitely see how advertising on FB would be good for you. I do not get Twitter yet, and am not as comfortable with it either...maybe someday, lol...
