Week 6 Reach vs. Engagement
The difference between a post reach and post engagement on Facebook, is that a reach is how many people were exposed to the post and engagement is how much interaction your post had in regards to likes, shares, comments and clicks.
Knowing the difference is important because although your post reached a lot of people, it doesn’t mean people were engaged or drawn to your post. If you have a lot of engagement for your post, then people were drawn to it and acted on it. This information will help determine if your posts are what your customers are interested in and if not, then you can adjust your posts accordingly.
A business can use the insights to analyze their posts and create ones that make the customer want to engage. It could be information they are interested in or by asking your customer for feedback. The more engagements a post has, the more it will be seen on other news feeds as well, which gives your post more exposure. The idea is to know your customer base and create posts that make them want to engage without using strictly advertising posts. Create a post that sparks an interest.

This blog post really helped me understand different points than the ones I commented on between the difference between Facebook posts read and post engagement. The different, yet still important, points you provided were insightful to say the least!
