Week 9 Twitter

When I was doing my searches to add people, I just started with their name. I only had a hard time finding one that I wanted to add and I could not find them, so I am guessing they don’t have a Twitter account. I found several friends, magazines and more.

I created a list for Friends, Food, Fashion, Photography & Design and Music. It was a great way for me to separate who I am following into those categories. The lists will help me stay organized because I can click on the list and see the tweets from people on that list. Therefore, it will be easier to read, like, comment or retweet, which will help me stay connected.

I have researched a few different sources on when the best time to tweet is and they all seem to be fairly consistent. One source said that people like to eat and tweet, so noon is a good time. Another source (blog.kissmetrics.com) says to tweet in the afternoon as well as that most retweets happen at 5pm. That same source says the way to achieve the highest CTR (click through rate) is to tweet 1-4 times an hour and that it is the highest midweek and on the weekend.  A source named (socialmarketingwriting.com) says that the best time to tweet is 5pm, they agree that midweek and weekends are the time when the CTR is the highest and that the CTR highest times are at noon and 6pm.

These are just 5 of the people I am following and why-

Ingrid Pape-Sheldon: Did a photoshoot of my Mom for a Seattle magazine years ago.

San Diego Woman Magazine: I did a photoshoot for them recently.

The Belly Up: I recently played there for the first time.

Stone Brewing: I would like to do some design work and/or photography for them.

Canon USA Imaging: I believe they would have some good tips and information to share.
